What a great week!  We have enjoyed visiting classes and seeing our students and families at games and other events after school.  Some of the class highlights this week included Mr. Sageman’s crime scene lesson,  Ms. Doodigian’s interactive lesson on heart and oxygen rate related to physical activity, and our art classes working on landscapes outside.

Our teams are off to a great start … it has been fun to watch them win some exciting games.  The Varsity Football team takes on Mt. Hebron tonight in the “Battle for Route 99” as coined by the kids.  Boys Soccer plays nearby Liberty tomorrow night which should be a very competitive matchup.  Our fans have been super in supporting our teams … we want to remind all Mustang fans to continue exhibiting good sportsmanship at all times.  We want to see the great spirit and energy that has been shown so far … cheering for our teams, dressing in spirit wear, and making posters.  Leave the poor sportsmanship … booing the other team, screaming at the refs, using profanity.... to those with less class. Thanks to everyone for being the great fans that we have seen over the years here at The Ridge!

We would like to recognize our Guidance Team …Will Schwarz, Jodi Robinson, Marji Ford, and Farah Evans … for running an outstanding College and Career Information Night for our Senior families.  The following topics were discussed:  teacher recommendation and transcript request processes, scholarship resources, college applications, the NCAA Clearinghouse, and the calendar for senior year.  This meeting was a fantastic way to get the year kicked off for our seniors as they continue looking at post-MRHS opportunities.
