A Note from the Administration ....

Spirit Week has been a blast ... our students' costumes and energy has been fantastic! We look forward to the activities occurring tomorrow and Saturday.

Tune into WBAL Channel 11 on Friday morning between 5:45 and 7:00 AM to see our students featured on the morning news ... thanks to Mrs. Arnal for arranging this wonderful addition to our Spirit Week and Homecoming festivities!

All students are reminded that tomorrow is the last day to purchase Homecoming Dance tickets. We are not allowed to sell dance tickets at the door so don't forget to bring your money tomorrow. In addition, we will not be selling dance tickets to any students who have not satisfied any financial obligations to the school or have not turned in their completed student and parent signature pages from the MRHS Information Guide for Students and Families that was issued to each student on the first day of school. All students must turn in this form. Thanks to everyone for your cooperation.

All students and families are encouraged to come out and support our teams on Friday and Saturday ... some very exciting games!

Please make sure to attend the After Prom Pasta Dinner on Friday night and the Poms Pancake Breakfast on Saturday morning ... the Model United Nations Club will sell Chick-Fil-A sandwiches after the Parade on Saturday back at school and our world famous Boosters Concession Stand will be open on Saturday afternoon. We can all diet on Sunday.

Saturday's activities include our Parade at 11 AM. The parade starts at 11 AM at Waverly Elementary School, winds through the Waverly neighborhood, and ends at the Waverly Shopping Center. Come out and see the homecoming floats, the homecoming court, the band, and much more .... everyone had a great time last year!

The #15 ranked Mustangs host the Hammond Bears at 1:30 PM. Let's pack the stands to show our support for Coach Hovet and the varsity football team. Everyone is reminded that we must represent Marriotts Ridge in the highest manner ... county policies prohibit profanity, negative cheers, and loud noisemakers. I hate to have to mention these things, but sometimes our spirit gets the best of us.

The Homecoming Dance starts at 8 PM and ends at 11 PM. Students will be not allowed to enter after 9 PM. All students must be picked up at 11 PM. We can't wait to see our students in Homecoming attire ... we always enjoy seeing everyone dressed up. We hope that all families take a few minutes to discuss good decision making before the dance. We would hate to see any students make a bad decision that could lead to someone getting in trouble, hurt or worse.

Finally, this is a very special Homecoming for all of us as we actually have graduates "coming home" this week. We invite our graduates to stop by on Friday during lunch time to visit with students and staff members in our Student Services Center. Seeing them at the Homecoming game will also be a real treat. We are so proud of all that they are doing in college, the military, and the workforce. Welcome Home!

 Take care ... Go Mustangs!
