We want to remind students and families about Wednesday, October 15 as they are several things taking place that day.

Freshmen are going out of the building for a physical fitness/wellness field trip at area fitness gyms or Western Regional Park.  We have some great activities planned for these students.  All freshmen are expected to attend this field trip as it will be a wonderful opportunity to learn about lifetime fitness activities and participate in team building exercises.

Permission slips must be signed and returned on Tuesday, October 14 …make sure to fill out both sides of the form.  Please bring in your check or money on Tuesday also.  Even though we have established $22 per student as the cost of the trip, it looks like we will be able to provide a small refund to each student after the trip as we are working with a local foundation focused on wellness to partially underwrite the cost…. we are still working on the details and will let freshmen parents know about this as soon as it is finalized.   If you are having difficulty finding the necessary funds, please email Mr. LeMon at james_lemon@hcpss.org.  Any other questions can also be directed to Mr. LeMon

Sophomores and Juniors will be participating in PSAT testing from 7:25 – 11:00 AM and then attending their regular classes.  We ask families help us by making sure that students get a good night’s rest , eat a good breakfast, and arrive at school on time.  Questions can be directed to Mrs. Bowen at rosalie_bowen@hcpss.org.

Seniors will participate in Senior Activities from 7:25 – 11:00 AM and then attend Periods 4, 5, and 6.  We will host our Second Annual Senior Breakfast that morning and then hold several activities related to Senior Year … Cap and gown measurements, Senior Year Calendar, How to write the perfect college essay, and Senior Superlatives.  Questions can be directed to Mr. Dubbs at mark_dubbs@hcpss.org or Pat Saunderson at patrick_saunderson@hcpss.org.

Your support on this important day is much appreciated … Go Mustangs!
