Every year, USMS presents an annual one hour postal meet. Basically, you swim for one hour with someone counting your laps for you and see how far you can go in that hour. If you then choose to enter the meet, you mail your results to the host team by Feb. 10th which them compiles the national results. We have some swimmers who have done this for three years and their goal is to increase the number of yards they swim each year. Swims must be done in  January 2009. Every swimmer needs a counter with a stopwatch/split watch as the splits must be recorded and submitted with the entry. We are tallying to see how many of you might be interested in this event.  If you are interested please contact Sue Mangan. A copy of the flier is attached. There is no obligation to enter anything. You can also do the hour just to see how far you can go. We will put no more than 2 swimmers to a lane while participating in this event. Once we know how many interested swimmers there are, we will make arrangements for lanes as best we can.
