Driver’s Education Program

Below is the revised schedule of MRHS Mustang Boosters Club sponsored driver’s education classes for the 2008 school year.

1. Tuesday February 19 thru Monday March 3, 2008.

2. Monday March 31 thru Monday April 14, 2008.

3. Monday April 21 thru Monday May 5, 2008.

4. Monday July 28 thru Friday August 8, 2008.

The February 19^th class was recently added to the schedule. If you have registered for the March or April class and would like to switch to the February 19^th class call Greg’s driving school and let them know.

The cost will be $300.00 which should be paid on or before the first day of class. Payment to Greg's Driving School can be made by cash, check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover). Parents are encouraged to attend the first class.

The program is the 36 hour MVA approved course offered by Greg’s Driving School. The course is comprised of 30 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of in-car training. The classroom portion of the course will be held at MRHS in room 115 and will consist of 10 sessions starting at 2:30 pm and ending at 5:45 pm. The classroom time for the summer class beginning July 28, 2008 will be 9:30 am to 12:45 pm. In-car training will consist of three two-hour sessions and will be scheduled with the instructor.

The drivers ed student must be 15 years old and does not need a learners permit. Keep in mind when scheduling drivers ed that the student must be 15 years and 9 months old to obtain a learners permit.

If under 16, you must provide a completed Learner's Permit School Attendance Certification form (MVA form DL-300) to an MVA official during the learner's permit application process.
